This is how you create shade in your garden or on your balcony

Summer is just around the corner, and therefore also the sun and warm temperatures. Wonderful to be able to enjoy the sun, but you probably need an hour now and then (or more) in the shadow. Do you also want to create more shady spots in your garden or on your balcony? We give some useful tips.

Natural shady spots

A garden full of green does not only look beautiful, but also provides natural shade in the garden. For example, a tall tree filters the sunlight, and with a terrace under the tree you can occasionally cool off in the shade. Keep in mind that you don't build the entire garden full of tall trees and shrubs. This not only ensures that you no longer have any sun at all, but it also looks messy quickly.

Parasol

With a parasol you have the place of the shade in your hand. For example, go for a somewhat smaller umbrella in a foot that you can easily move. Note the quality of the umbrella, because a cheaper variant will survive a heavy gust less quickly than a good quality umbrella. Do you want the garden with umbrella to look stylish? Then you can also have a luxury buy a floating parasol.

Sun protection

You have a veranda in the garden? Or a terrace close to the house? It can also get warm in the summer there. Choose a sun shade for the veranda, or go for a sunscreen that attaches to the house. You have awnings in different shapes and sizes, so there is always something in between that fits perfectly with your garden or balcony.

Shadow cloth

Do you have a somewhat smaller garden or balcony? Then you can choose a beautiful instead of sun protection, sturdy shade cloth. This not only creates a shadow spot, but also a place where you will not be bothered by UV radiation. A shade cloth can be easily attached to a wall or pole and takes up much less space than awning or a parasol with a base.

We also use a patio cloth at home. This saves a lot on really hot days! And it is also cozy!

Carport

Maybe you don't just want yourself, but also protect the car from the sun. Then you can choose to place a carport. This way you don't just protect your car from the sun in the hot summer, but in the colder months also against hail and snow. That saves another wash!
But of course this is only possible if you have the space next to your house!
