Durable bike with Dumo bicycles

As mother and “Stadjer” is my bike over the center of my life. Countless rides to school, to weekend shopping in large quantities, everything is going along on my bike. I absolutely cannot live here in the city.

When I recently needed a repair for my bike, I got a tip to take a look at Dumo two-wheelers. Dumo is a bicycle repair shop that not only sells bicycles, mainly focuses on repairing bicycles. Which is of course very sustainable in this time! Hence the name “Dumo”

Dumo stands for “sustainable mobility” which I personally like very much. Repairing things also fits completely in the time of now.

Groningen

And what I find so very useful is that Michiel -the founder of Dumo-, the bikes for free in Groningen (city) get and bring you! As a mother of four school-aged children, I often lack the time to take bicycles away. Especially if the bike doesn't move a meter anymore, I find a 2km walk to the city a drama.

Michiel just comes by with his special bike to get the bike for repair. Without extra costs! He takes it to his workshop, and deliver the repaired bike neatly to your home afterwards.

Sugar Union site

His shop is located on the sugar union site a stone's throw from the city of Groningen.

He's only been at this location for a month, but the showroom is almost ready.

Sea containers have been used. Super slim, and it also looks really cool!

Trade in

What is also super sustainable from Dumo is that they also buy bicycles from individuals. These bikes are then sold completely refurbished. So if you are looking for an affordable second-hand bike, you can also go there.

My old bike had flaws, and was no longer practical to use. I decided to trade in this bike, together with a racing bike of my son.

Of course you don't get a top prize for this, but what matters to me is that these bikes are refurbished and given a new chance. And I keep my space in my small city front yard!

I was looking for a handy city bike, for myself and for my daughter. She is going to high school this year, and that includes a bigger bike.

I chose a super nice grandma-grandpa bike. I have a weakness for this type of bike. Stoer, and very nostalgic
