A garden storage box, it's something for older people?

I thought this last year, when I asked myself where to leave all the garden cushions from our roof terrace?

They were now in the way every night in front of the balcony doors.
But yes, such a ¨ garden storage box That's a bit drowsy? I wasn't convinced yet.
Storage boxes are also often made of plastic. I doubted whether this would fit in terms of style on our roof terrace in natural atmosphere.

So I went to the thrift store last summer and bought a large wooden box there. I put the box under the roof on the terrace, and my problem was solved for now. At least that's what I thought…

After a rain shower or 10, the outside started to get damp and slightly mouldy. The inside smelled musty, and so are the goodies. (help!) The last thing you want is mold in your beautiful garden chair cushions!

The wooden box turned out to be a disillusionment.

A wooden box was therefore not suitable for our terrace. But I wanted a box that also looked a bit nice with the looks of wood.

A large box with a wooden look, (YES). And also the possibility to use as a bank! Two flies in 1 blow.

De Rockwood opbergbox is an extra spacious storage solution for outside, and has a huge content of 570 L!! This is a lot, but if you have lounger cushions, tuinkleden, and other loose pillows that fills up pretty quickly. And we have the space on our terrace, so rather a slightly larger box, than one that is always full.

A complete whole

The box looks very nice in the corner of the terrace against the fence. The color makes the box disappear in the whole. The box and the terrace have become a unity.

The stuff stays bone dry in the box, and mold free.

Update april 2023: We hebben de Keter box inmiddels al bijna 2 jaar in gebruik. Waar ik zo ontzettend tevreden over ben is de waterdichtheid. De kussens zijn nog ontzettend mooi en fris, erwijl ze de hele winter in de box buiten hebben gelegen.

Omdat we nu uitbreiding hebben van een bank met kussens dakterras hebben we een extra Keter box aangeschaft. Een iets kleinere versie dan de 570 liter.
