Kärcher carpet cleaner test

As a blogger, I am regularly privileged to review the best products. This time it was a party again, because I got a very cool household appliance at home to test.

But what caught my attention (which made me eager to test this device!!) was the carpet cleaning- position. I have a great love for carpets at home. Despite the fact that we don't wear shoes on it here at home, a carpet gets stains at some point.

And if you have developed bad luck, a carpet sometimes also has a gray haze. I had the latter with my white carpet that I had bought about three years ago.

After a year the rug ended up in the attic because of the filth. (Where there were already two other dingy carpets). I couldn't throw it away, but I had not yet succeeded in cleaning. TIP: So putting it in the snow doesn't work either

I once decided to hire a carpet cleaner for myself. But it seemed that this was going to be a case of delay.

And then there was the Kärcher last weekend! A multifunctional device for cleaning carpets and upholstery!

Water and soap

The system of the cleaner is actually very simple. You put warm water and cleaning agent in the indicated dosage (certainly not too much!) in the tank.

The solution is injected deep into the fibers of the carpet under high pressure. Immediately afterwards, it is sucked out with great force by the suction system. This dirt then enters another tank.

You press with your hand (or you choose automatically) the spray through the nozzle into the carpet. Then the surface is then sucked up again with force. TIP: use warm water for an even more hygienic result.

The suction mouth is transparent, so you see the dirty water bubbling up. I can tell you that this feels very satisfying! See below in the photo how the water rises on its way to the tank.

I saw that three-year-old large gray spots actually disappeared after going over it a few times. TIP: With heavy pollution, you can first let the water soak in for a few minutes and only then vacuum it up.

The overall grubbyness had clearly diminished, and a very slightly damp but especially fresh cloth remained. After my experience, the cleaner is mainly intended for fresh stains. You can pull these out with ease, and freshen up. Long-lasting older stains must first be cleaned by hand yourself and then refreshed with the Kärcher. Or you have to go over it about three times with the cleaning mouth, that can help too.

The cleaner is also ideal for that fine dust that has come in over all those years, to suck up. This substance also causes that gray glow that I mentioned earlier.

Cleaning accidents

I also see opportunities especially if you have dropped a cup of coffee, for example. The piston then literally pulls the coffee out again. And then he freshens up the rug with water and cleaner. But also think of dirty mattresses, for example, after an accident of a child, or your car upholstery where the takeaway pizza has started to leak, for example.

I think it's a wonderful device to at least have at home. Especially with a large family. The dual function is also ideal, because if you don't have a carpet to clean, you can also vacuum with it or possibly mop on a hard floor!
