Long day, warm weather and children with endless energy: The summer vacation is fantastic, But sometimes too (zacht uitgedrukt) a bit tiring. Especially if you have to come up with something new every day to keep them busy. Fortunately, there is toys that ensure hours of fun. Garden, beach or just inside when it rains: this is a top summer toy!
Water makes everything more fun
Warmwarmwarm? Then there is only one thing that really cools you down: water. And that doesn't just have to be the well-known swimming pool. Think of water sprinklers in funny shapes, water slides that you can rebuild over and over again or buckets and watering cans for endless mud fun.
With a few simple items, children can have fun for hours. And you? You sit quietly in the shade with a book. Water fun doesn't have to be big or expensive at all. Even a washing up bowl and a few kitchen utensils provide hours of fun.

Not sure whether your outdoor toys are suitable for your children? Then check the age – most brands provide this. Bij toys 4 jaar for example, are you sure that it is safe?, not too complicated and resistant to enthusiastic use.
Long live the fantasy
Children don't need much to make up stories. A few pillows become a camp. An upside-down box is suddenly a store. With the right toys you can give that imagination a helping hand. Sand- and outdoor building sets are ideal: think big blocks, sturdy diggers or wooden picnic benches where they can do crafts.

Let your children design their own place in the garden, or instruct them to build a circuit for cars or marbles. The possibilities are endless and often surprisingly creative.
Playing outside stimulates the imagination and invites you to work together, to discuss and solve problems.
Do you want something that is not only fun but also contributes to their development? Then choose educational toys that you can easily take outside. Writing letters in the sand, drawing shadow figures or simple arithmetic exercises with sidewalk chalk: they learn without realizing it.
You can move anywhere
You don't need a trampoline or football field to get children moving. A skipping rope, a set of sidewalk chalk or a few cones are enough for a game that lasts.

Tag, skipper I can sail over, or self-invented obstacle courses: Children often have the most fun with things that have little structure.
They make something of it themselves. So make sure you have material that invites you to move, but does not prescribe how it should be done. This way they not only stay physically active, but also mentally sharp. Just what you want during those long summer days.
