From brown to Real Jade

I don't turn my hand around for a color change in the house. Loyal followers of mine on the socials know this like no other!

I like to play and vary with color on the wall. Each color has its own atmosphere and style. And as an interior lover it is wonderful to play with it a bit.

Wij hebben thuis 2 woonkamers. One for the house, and one behind.

The rear chamber is white for a very long time. This was at the request of the man in the house. But the room was so white, that the atmosphere was a bit boring.

The sofa is also white, and you almost had to wear sunglasses sometimes when the sun was shining!

But how do you determine the right color?? My rule is whenever you have wallpaper, adjust it accordingly. When you choose a color that matches the wallpaper, keep a room in balance, en wordt het niet te druk.

It does not have to be the exact color of your wallpaper, but choosing a color from the same color line is sufficient to create unity.

I thought the gray-green color was too obvious, so I chose the brown shade from the beak.

I had a color mixed inspired by ¨spiced honey¨ van Flexa.

The result was warm, but quite intense. I was hoping for a slightly lighter color. After all, you also have honey in different shades (-;

It was warmer, but not quite what I had hoped for.

So none yet 3 weeks later I was back with a brush in my hand!

Real jade from Flexa

This time I chose an original color from FLEXA. De REAL JADE and then in the variant PURE EXTRA MAT. This paint has very good coverage, and has a powdery matte finish.

The wallpaper has a gray-green tint, but I thought this was too obvious to choose that shade. Gray green is a cold color, and I wanted to add freshness and coziness. That's why I chose this exciting Jade shade!

When I started painting it was a bit exciting. The contrast with the brown was so great, that the color suddenly seemed extremely light. Too light perhaps? It made me feel warm for a moment!

But what I now know with all my painting experience, is that you can only judge it when it is completely finished. So just keep going and clear your mind for a moment!

The paint had good coverage, which works well. I always paint anyway 2 time, but if it's in 1 x already covers it so well, this works a lot better. The result is then visible quickly.
